Srinagar, Sep 04 (KINS): Apni Party chief Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari clarified on Wednesday that his party is not aligning with or supporting any other political party, nor is any party providing support to him.
Bukhari made this statement while filing his nomination papers for the Chanapora Assembly constituency at the Returning Officer’s office in Srinagar.
Accompanied by a large group of party workers and supporters, Bukhari was seen leading a spirited display of support with rallying slogans in his favor.
When asked about prominent former chief ministers, including Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, and Ghulam Nabi Azad, who are not contesting the elections, Bukhari remarked that it is their personal choice and extended his best wishes to them.
In the upcoming election, Bukhari will face competition from National Conference candidate Mushtaq Ahmed Guroo and PDP’s Muhammad Iqbal Tramboo.(KINS)
