310 candidates file nominations for Phase 2 of J&K Assembly Election 2024

Srinagar, Sep 05 (KINS): A total of 310 candidates have submitted their nomination papers for the second phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Election 2024, covering 26 Assembly Constituencies (ACs) across six districts. The last date for filing nominations was September 5, 2024.
Among the submissions, Srinagar district saw the highest number with 112 candidates, while Ganderbal and Reasi districts had the lowest with 24 each. The scrutiny of these nominations will take place on September 6, 2024, and candidates can withdraw their nominations by or before September 9, 2024.
In specific constituencies, Habbakadal AC reported the highest number of nominations with 20 candidates, while Kangan AC had the fewest with 6 candidates. The election for these constituencies is scheduled for September 25, 2024, with polling taking place from 07:00 AM to 06:00 PM.(KINS)
