Suspicious object found on Handwara-Baramulla highway, ‘Traffic suspended for safety’

Srinagar, Oct 10 (KINS): A suspicious object was found today on the Thokerpora section of the Handwara-Baramulla highway, leading authorities to temporarily suspend traffic.
Army personnel, along with a bomb disposal squad, are on-site, working to assess the object and ensure the safety of commuters.
“For the safety of travelers, traffic has been halted as a precaution,” an official said. Traffic will resume once the object is cleared.
The highway, a vital link for both civilian and military movement, often sees Army convoys due to its strategic importance as the route to the border district of Kupwara.
Further details are awaited and will be updated accordingly. (KINS)
