Traffic restored on Handwara-Baramulla Highway after suspicious object cleared

Srinagar, Oct 10 (KINS): Traffic on the Handwara-Baramulla highway was restored today after a brief disruption caused by the discovery of a suspicious object on the Thokerpora stretch.
Army personnel, who were on the spot to examine the object, found no threat after ensuring the safety of commuters.
An official told KINS, “Traffic was halted as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of travelers.” Once the object was cleared, normal traffic resumed.
This highway, a crucial route for both civilian and military movement, frequently sees heavy traffic, including Army convoys, as it connects to the strategic border district of Kupwara.(KINS)
