Srinagar, Oct 24 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in New Delhi this evening.
Earlier in the day, Abdullah left Srinagar for the national capital, where the discussions were expected to revolve around key political developments and security concerns in the Union Territory.
The timing of the meeting comes amid heightened focus on Jammu and Kashmir following recent political shifts.
While no official statement has been released regarding the outcome, reports suggest that topics such as security and developmental projects in the region were key points of discussion.
Sources further revealed that CM Omar Abdullah is likely to discuss the state Cabinet’s resolution on restoring statehood with the top Central leadership. The Chief Minister is also expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi tomorrow, marking a continuation of high-level talks with the Centre. (KINS)
