Army Jawan Dies in Accidental Firing Incident in Srinagar’s Chanapora

Srinagar , Nov 2: An Army jawan lost his life due to an accidental discharge of his weapon in the Chanapora locality of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir’s summer capital, officials reported.

The incident occurred while the jawan was on duty as part of a road opening party near Rawalpora Chowk. According to a police official, the soldier was injured in the accidental firing and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. However, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities are investigating the incident. The event underscores the inherent risks faced by armed forces personnel even during routine operations.
