He was driving Verna, says official
Srinagar, Nov 26 (KINS): The traffic police today intensified its crackdown on underage driving in Srinagar outskirts by executing a court warrant against a minor driver at Humhama area of Srinagar.
A traffic official told news agency KINS that a court challan was executed against an underage violator in Humhama, serving as a stern warning to others about the consequences of such actions.
Over the past 12 days, nearly 4,000 vehicles were seized across Srinagar and other areas as part of the intensified campaign against minor drivers.
Underage driving has long been recognized as a serious threat to road safety, often leading to accidents, injuries, and even fatalities.
By targeting underage drivers, the authorities aim to minimize these risks and ensure that traffic laws are strictly enforced.
This campaign not only penalizes violators but also seeks to instill a sense of responsibility among young people and their guardians. Parents are being urged to take a more active role in preventing their children from engaging in unsafe and illegal driving practices.
Authorities started educational initiatives to inform minors about the dangers of driving without proper training or licenses.
This large-scale operation sends a clear message that traffic rules are non-negotiable, regardless of age or circumstance. (KINS)
