Chinar Warriors Swift Action Rescues Stranded Tourists Amid Heavy Snowfall in Gulmarg

Srinagar, Dec 28 (KINS): The Indian Army swiftly launched a Human Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operation in Gulmarg after unprecedented heavy snowfall rendered the Tangmarg road axis impassable, leaving numerous tourists stranded.
Acting promptly on an SOS from the Civil Administration, the Indian Army took immediate action to rescue the stranded civilians.
The operation, led by the Chinar Corps, successfully evacuated 68 individuals, including 30 women, 30 men, and 8 children. The rescue mission, which commenced at 7 PM, was carried out with remarkable coordination between the Indian Army and the Gulmarg Development Authority (GDA). The rescued tourists were provided shelter, food, and medical assistance at the Gulmarg Army base, where they remained until the road was cleared and it was safe to continue their journey.
