Man shot dead in Jammu’s Jewel Chowk
Jammu, Jan 21: A man was fatally shot by unidentified assailants in the bustling Jewel Chowk area of Jammu on Tuesday afternoon.
An official said that the victim, traveling in an SUV, was ambushed by the attackers who were already stationed at the location.
“Four bullets were fired, inflicting severe injuries on the victim,” the official said. Despite being rushed to the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu, the man was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The assailants managed to escape the scene following the attack.
Authorities have launched a large-scale search operation to apprehend the culprits. The police are investigating the incident, and additional details are awaited.
