Pakistan a failed state, trying to disrupt J&K’s Peace: LG Manoj Sinha

Jammu, Apr 17 (KINS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday slammed Pakistan as a “failed state” that continues to ‘send terrorists to Jammu and Kashmir in a desperate attempt to derail peace and development’.

Speaking at a public event in Bhaderwah, LG as per news agency KINS, said that Pakistan, unable to provide basic facilities to its own people, keeps trying to fuel unrest in the Union Territory.

“Whenever peace begins to take root here, our neighbour starts having a stomach ache,” the LG remarked, stressing that coordinated operations by police, security forces, and the administration are actively targeting terror networks.

He urged citizens to report those within society who support or shelter terrorists. “Supporting such elements is a betrayal of your own people. Inform the police — peace can’t be protected by security forces alone,” he said, reiterating his administration’s guiding principle: “Don’t touch the innocent, and don’t spare the guilty.”

LG Sinha also emphasized that sustainable development in Jammu and Kashmir is only possible with lasting peace. “We will not rest until terrorism and its ecosystem are completely wiped out,” he asserted.

Earlier in the day, the LG inaugurated a week-long Mega Surgical Camp in Doda and Kishtwar, organized by Rotary International along with local district administrations and the Department of Health and Medical Education.

Highlighting healthcare as a top priority, he said the J&K administration has significantly improved infrastructure and access to quality services. The camp is being held at GMC Doda, District Hospital Kishtwar, and SDH Bhaderwah, offering free superspecialty and general surgeries by experienced doctors, along with consultations, diagnostics, and medicines.
