Kulgam Teenager Secures Spot with Bangalore Strikers in Maiden ISPL Auction

Srinagar, Feb 26: Sharik Yasir, a 14-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman from Gopalpora, has clinched a coveted place in the inaugural Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) Auction 2024.
After successfully navigating through the green ticket, blue ticket, trials, and final trials, Sharik emerged victorious, landing a spot in the auction and ultimately being picked up by the Bangalore Strikers.
Notably, Sharik, with a base price of Rs 3.20 lakhs, stands as the youngest participant in the 2024 auction.
Expressing his elation, Sharik emphasized the significance of his achievement in inspiring other youngsters to follow their cricketing dreams.
He stressed the importance of approaching cricket professionally and urged parents to support their children’s passion for the sport.
Looking ahead, Sharik expressed optimism about the platform provided by ISPL, foreseeing it as a catalyst for boosting his confidence and fueling his continued journey in cricket.
