Srinagar, Aug 4 (KINS): The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has restructured its district leadership in Shopian, appointing former MLA Ajaz Ahmad Mir as the new District President and Raja Waheed, a senior party functionary, as Vice District President.

Ajaz Ahmad Mir, who previously represented the Zainapora constituency in the Legislative Assembly, thanked the PDP leadership for their trust and said he would work with renewed commitment to address public concerns and rebuild party outreach in Shopian.

Raja Waheed, upon his nomination, termed the role a “people-centric responsibility” and vowed to further the PDP’s mission of peace, progress, and public service.

PDP leadership expressed confidence that the new team will help rejuvenate the party structure, particularly by engaging youth and expanding political dialogue at the local level.(KINS)
