Srinagar, Oct 24 (KINS): Jubilant scenes unfolded in Srinagar on Friday evening as National Conference (NC) supporters celebrated the party’s victory on three of the four Rajya Sabha seats from Jammu and Kashmir.

As the results were declared, NC workers gathered in large numbers outside the Assembly secretariat and Party headquarters in srinagar, waving party flags, dancing, and chanting slogans in support of their leadership. The atmosphere turned festive, with supporters expressing joy over what they termed a “historic win” for the party.

“Our party has once again proved its strength and unity. The leadership of Omar Abdullah has guided us to this victory,” said an elated NC supporter, speaking to Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS).

Inside the Secretariat, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, along with senior NC legislators, monitored the vote-counting process closely. NC secured three out of four seats comfortably with the support of alliance partners.

At party headquarters, the celebration continued late into the evening, with NC workers distributing sweets and raising slogans in praise of the party’s leadership. “This victory is for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and a reflection of faith in NC’s vision,” said another party worker amid the jubilant crowd.(KINS)
