MFA condemns Red Fort blast, says violence by medicos ‘not tolerable’

Srinagar, Nov 22 (KINS): The Medical Faculty Association (MFA) of Government Medical College (GMC) and Government Dental College (GDC) Srinagar on Saturday strongly condemned the recent blast that took place near the Red Fort in New Delhi.

In a statement, the MFA said the medical fraternity was deeply disturbed by reports alleging the involvement of individuals from the medical profession in the “inhuman act”.

“Such betrayal of the sacred trust placed in physicians, who are dedicated to compassion and serving life, is shameful and unacceptable,” the association said.

The MFA, on behalf of the medical fraternity, said any act of violence by any member of the profession was “not tolerable” as it brings disrepute to the entire medical community.

“The MFA expresses deep grief and solidarity with the victims who lost their lives and those who were injured in this tragic incident,” the statement added. (KINS)
