JKSA thanks SSP UT Chandigarh, Punjab unit for recovering money in visa scam case involving Kashmiri student 

Srinagar, Dec 24 (KINS): The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) on Wednesday expressed its sincere gratitude to the SSP, UT Chandigarh Police, Kanwardeep Kaur, and the Punjab Unit of JKSA, especially Sheikh Salman Amin, State Media Coordinator of the Association, for their timely intervention and support in securing justice for a Kashmiri student.

The Association said that the prompt action by the SSP UT Chandigarh and the JKSA Punjab team brought much-needed relief to Murtaza Rasheed of Baramulla, who was recently duped by a consultancy agency that issued him a fake Azerbaijan e-visa (No. AE105617955), resulting in a loss of Rs 65,000.

Association expresses its deep appreciation to the Chandigarh Police for their swift, professional, and people-friendly response, which ensured the immediate recovery of the student’s hard-earned money. Their no-nonsense approach towards the fraudsters reflects a strong commitment to justice and sets a benchmark for responsive and sensitive policing.

The Association especially thanked Sheikh Salman Amin for his relentless efforts and effective liaison with the concerned state administration, particularly the SSP and police officials, which played a crucial role in resolving the matter at the earliest. His proactive intervention not only helped secure justice for the victim but also restored faith among students in institutional support systems. The Association added that the significant role played by Sheikh Salman Amin helped safeguard a young student’s career, finances, and mental well-being, deserves special appreciation.(KINS)
