M.K. Sinha takes charge as ADG CID J&K

Srinagar, Aug 28 (KINS): M.K. Sinha, IPS, on Friday took over as the Additional Director General of Police (ADG) CID, Jammu & Kashmir, succeeding Nitish Kumar, IPS, who has been transferred as ADG Armed Police J&K.
Soon after assuming charge, Sinha held a meeting with senior officers of CID Headquarters and reviewed the overall functioning of the intelligence wing. He also took stock of various activities and operational matters concerning the department.
Sinha, a 1996-batch IPS officer, was previously serving as ADG (HQR) at Police Headquarters, J&K.
Nitish Kumar, a 1999-batch IPS officer, was serving as ADG CID and Director, State Investigation Agency (SIA), J&K, before his transfer to the Armed Police.
Senior officers of CID Headquarters welcomed the new ADG and assured him of their full cooperation and commitment in discharging their responsibilities. They also wished outgoing ADG Nitish Kumar a successful tenure in his new assignment as ADG Armed Police J&K.(KINS)
