Gusty winds disrupt power supply in parts of Kashmir: KPDCL

Srinagar, Jan 23 (KINS): The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Friday said that strong gusty winds across Kashmir have caused damage to power infrastructure, leading to disruption of electricity supply in parts of Srinagar and other districts.
KPDCL said its ground teams are working round-the-clock in challenging weather conditions to restore the affected 33kV feeders at the earliest. The department has urged the public to stay away from fallen electric poles, hanging wires, and damaged structures, and to report any such hazards immediately.
KPDCL also thanked consumers for their patience and cooperation while restoration work is underway.(KINS)
