Srinagar, Apr 17 (KINS): Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh on Friday honoured top-performing ministries, departments and states at the “SADHANA Saptah 2026” ceremony, highlighting a shift towards performance-based governance.
He said the awards now focus on outcomes linked to flagship programmes and district-level problem-solving rather than individual profiling. The initiative saw massive participation, with over 3.18 crore course completions and nearly 47 lakh government employees involved.
Describing it as a “people-driven movement,” the Minister noted growing voluntary participation across all levels, including grassroots staff, strengthening service delivery and public trust.
He also emphasised the role of technology, especially AI, in future governance, while stressing that integrity and human judgement remain central. (KINS)
