Srinagar, May 13(KINS): National Conference leader and MLA Tanvir Sadiq on Wednesday strongly reacted to remarks made by Leader of Opposition Sunil Kumar Sharma, saying the BJP leader was disconnected from the political realities of Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Sadiq dismissed Sharma’s claim that the National Conference was a “sinking ship” and said the people of Jammu and Kashmir had given a clear mandate to the NC while rejecting both the BJP and PDP.
He asserted that the Omar Abdullah-led party would continue to remain politically strong and return to power again after five years.
Sadiq also accused the PDP of corruption and irregularities during its tenure and challenged the party to point out even a single corruption case against the present NC government.
Commenting on the liquor licence issue, he claimed that no offline liquor licences were issued during the National Conference government, while nearly 100 licences were allegedly granted during the PDP regime.(KINS)
