Srinagar, Sep 13 (KINS): Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired a meeting with key stakeholders to review the strategy for the implementation of the Mission Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (YUVA) in Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting, attended by ACS Forest, Secretary SDD, and representatives from universities such as SKUAST, along with officials from JK Bank, SBI, NABARD, and SIDBI, focused on the effective rollout of the initiative.
Dulloo emphasized the need for the department to overcome initial challenges and move swiftly towards successful implementation. He highlighted the importance of identifying institutions and resources for training master trainers from each district. A detailed roadmap, including training schedules, venues, and content, was urged to ensure smooth execution.
He also called for a robust Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign to raise awareness about the mission, alongside comprehensive surveys to reach potential beneficiaries. The Chief Secretary stressed the urgency of completing the skilling app and mapping existing skill courses offered by universities and technical institutions.
In addition, Dulloo urged banks to develop lending products to support the mission and proposed the use of informational videos and Q&A sessions to enhance the clarity and effectiveness of the training programs.(KINS)
