Srinagar, Aug 15 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday hoisted the National Flag at Lok Bhavan in Srinagar on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day.
In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor paid tribute to the founding fathers of the nation and the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom. He also paid homage to civilians who tragically lost their lives in natural calamities this year.
Sinha extended greetings to the personnel of the Armed Forces, J&K Police, CAPFs and other security agencies, expressing gratitude for their service and the sacrifices made in defending the nation’s unity and fighting terrorism.
He called upon people to work towards fulfilling the dreams of those who made the ultimate sacrifice and building a peaceful and prosperous Jammu Kashmir and a great nation.
