Vendors Association Holds Protest in Shopian, Raises Market Issues
Shopian, Sep 5 (KINS): The Vendors Association today staged a protest in Shopian, raising concerns over the problems being faced by vendors at the Vendors Market. The protest was also attended by the President of the Traders Federation.Mushtaq Ahmad Nakhasi
The vendors demanded that their issues be addressed and that proper basic facilities be provided at the market. They also called for the construction of a proper structure and necessary infrastructure for the vendors.
During the protest, SHO Shopian Shahbaz Sahib reached the spot and interacted with the protesting vendors, urging them to maintain peace. He also spoke with the Municipal authorities, following which concerned officials visited the site and held discussions with the vendors regarding their demands.
After assurances and discussions with the concerned authorities, the protest ended peacefully.
