Chersoo Awantipora residents seek designated highway openings amid difficulties caused by safety barriers

KINS Correspondent
Pulwama, September 4 (KINS): Residents of the Chersoo area of Awantipora have expressed concern over the difficulties being faced by the public following the installation of modern safety barriers along the National Highway.
The residents said that after the barriers were installed along the middle of the highway, crossing from one side to the other has become difficult. They said residential areas and essential facilities are located on both sides of the highway, requiring people to cross the road frequently for their daily needs.
Locals added that women, schoolchildren and patients, in particular, are facing difficulties while crossing the highway.
The residents have appealed to the concerned authorities to provide designated openings or safe crossing points for public use, so that people can cross the highway safely and conveniently while maintaining road safety. (KINS)
