Srinagar, Sept 07 (KINS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday addressed the IIT (BHU) Global Alumni Meet in Chicago, Illinois, highlighting the legacy of Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya and his contributions to engineering education and India’s industrial development.
Speaking on Artificial Intelligence, the Lieutenant Governor said AI will drive economic growth by combining human potential with machine intelligence. He stressed that AI must remain rooted in ethics, core values and strict human oversight, with technology guided by humanity for the collective well-being of society.
Sinha also spoke about the emergence of a new India that is stronger at home, confident abroad and ready to help shape humanity’s future.
“Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is building its own place in the world and preparing to lead it. This is India’s moment. This is India’s century,” he said.
The Lieutenant Governor also highlighted Jammu and Kashmir’s transformation, describing the recent years as a period of significant development and new opportunities.
Recalling Swami Vivekananda’s historic 1893 address in Chicago, Sinha praised the contribution of IIT (BHU) alumni and the Indian diaspora globally. He urged alumni to contribute to India’s growth through mentorship, investment, institutional partnerships and by sharing their global experience and expertise.(KINS)
