Cop shoots self at DGP J&K’s Jammu residence, was posted as security guard

Srinagar: A cop posted as a security guard at Jammu residence of Director General of Police Jammu and Kashmir Dilbag Singh shot himself on Monday.

According to police the cop has been identified as as Subash Chander.

Reports said that Chander shot himself with his service rifle.

He was evacuated to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu where he is under-treatment.

Matter is being investigated, police said.

The Jammu residence of DGP J&K is ‘presently unoccupied’, police said.
