Moral remains of slain CRPF personnel sent to their homes

Srinagar, Feb 15,: The mortal remains of the CRPF personnel killed in an audacious militant attack in South Kashmir’s Lethpora area of Pulwama district were sent to their homes across India, officials said on Friday.

Official sources said that all but 49 troopers were killed while some of them have been mangled beyond recognition. The officials added that over 37 bodies have been identified.

Earlier, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and DG CRPF RR Bhatnagar paid rich tributes to the slain troopers. He was accompanied by top brass from administration, police and Army.

Shortly after the ceremony, the bodies were air lifted and dispatched to natives states.
