LS Elections 2019: ‘BSF in Jammu forced people to vote for BJP,’ alleges Mehbooba

Jammu, Apr 11 : In the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Jammu constituency, one video is making rounds on the internet in which a group of voters is seen protesting against the alleged Border Security Force personnel’s attempt to force voters to vote for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and not anyone else.

In a video tweeted by former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti, as she describes. “A voter at polling booth in Jammu was manhandled by the BSF because he refused to cast his vote for BJP. Using armed forces at polling stations to coerce people to vote for the BJP shows their desperation & hunger to usurp power by hook or crook.”

Pertinently,  Jammu parliamentary seat is spread over four districts, Jammu, Sambha, Poonch and Rajouri, and will be witnessing a straight contest between sitting Member of Parliament (MP) BJP’s Jugal Kishore Sharma and Congress nominee Raman Bhalla. (CNS)
