Painful to see family members were not able to perform last rites of deceased: Dr Naveed Shah

Srinagar April 29: Head of Department Chest Medicine at CD hospital Srinagar Dr Naveed Shah said it was painful that family members were not able to perform list rites of an elderly woman who died due to COVID-19 on Tuesday.

“Painfull to see the family members, near and dear ones not able to perform the last rites.
Neither had a travel history nor was a primary contact. This is what can happen if we DONT follow advisories.

He was referring to death of a Rainawari elderly woman who died on Tuesday. Her family were not able to perform her last rites as they are in quarantine.


Sources told News agency KINS that all the family members have been quarantined as they had in contact with the deceased lady.
