LG Sinha appreciates Bandana’s suggestion for promoting institutions of local self-governance

Srinagar, Dec 9 (KINS) Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha appreciated the suggestions of Mohammad Iqbal Badana a resident of Baramulla in north Kashmir for promoting institutions of local self governance during his recent Radio Talk Show Awaam Ki Awaaz.

The LG has appreciated the suggestions proposed by Badana to the government for promoting and strengthening the institutions of local self governance. Badana expressed his gratitude to LG for considering his suggestion useful.

The Lt Governor, while mentioning Badana for sharing a roadmap for strengthening the Panchayati Raj Institutions, said his suggestions complement the endeavour of the administration to enhance the capacity of the democratic institutions at the grassroots level.

Badana lavished praise for the present administration for being responsive to the people’s concerns and said  Awaam ki Awaaz has provided a platform for the common man to vent out his feelings and suggestions.

He said that it is a matter of great pride for him that his suggestion has been mentioned by the Lieutenant Governor of the UT in his Radio Talk.

He said that promoting local self governance institutions is a very essential step and needs to be further strengthened at the grassroots level for improved governance.

Badana further said that strengthening of local self governance institutions provides an opportunity for officials to involve the local populace to plan, manage and deliver services in the implementation of government programs.
