Vehicle with PHE pipes seized in Poonch

Poonch,Jan 4 : Police today seized a Tata mobile vehicle loaded with PHE pipes and detained three persons including a driver in this connection.

A police official said that acting on specific information received by SDPO  Mendhar,  Neeraj  Padyar, a police party from Mendhar Police Station intercepted vehicle No. JK-02BD/5937  and seized it today near TCP Mendhar.

A total of 85 PHE pipes of two different sizes (one inch and one and a half inch) were loaded in the vehicle. The driver and his associate failed to produce any document regarding the transportation of these goods from PHE store to the specific location. The driver told that the pipes were being taken to  Pathanteer village but he failed to produce any authorised papers, he said.

The police detained the three persons and started investigations in this regard. The police called concerned PHE staff for verification of the goods seized by the police. Further investigation was in progress, he said.
