Pattan village in Baramulla suffers poor infrastructure

Pattan, Jan 23 : Check Jamal Mir a village in Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district reels under bad infrastructure.

Check Jamal Mir have grown used to living with no “modern” amenities.

The government has failed to address the problems of common masses in the area as they have been a victim of official apathy.

“We have been staying here since seven generations. This is a good population village in Pattan block. This village lacks basic facilities especially the condition of roads is very bad claimed group of inhabitants.

Visiting the village is like going back a few decades in time — in the absence of proper road connectivty, group of residents during protest demonstration told Kashmir Indepth News, and said that they are strugglling with basic sadak, bijli, paani issues.

The protesting residents said that the area lacks basic facilities and is taking a heavy toll on the lives of people living in this area of Pattan block.

Farooq Ahmed a local resident said that the village sans proper road, and due to the neglect attitude of concern authorities the road in the area is in dilapidated condition since centuries.

However the poor villagers appealed authorities to look into their greviances.

SDM Pattan was not available for commits as he was on leave.

Meanwhile Tehsildar Pattan Moain Kakroo when contacted told Kashmir Indepth News that he will direct all the concerned officers to look into the greviences of people sothat they will not face inconvenience.
