DC Bla Reviews Functioning of Revenue Department

 

Baramulla, 24 February: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr G N Ittoo today reviewed the functioning of Revenue department in a meeting convened with senior officers of the department.

The meeting was attended by ADC Sopore, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Tangmarg, Pattan besides all the Tehsildars and other senior officers of the concerned department. The meeting was convened to appraise the DC about the functioning of revenue administration in district.

Dr. Ittoo, while reviewing the performance directed the officers to mobilize their men and machinery for public service and to redress the public grievance at an earliest. While discussing other important issues, the DDC asked the concerned officers to roll out public outreach programmmes in the district to get first hand appraisal of the public grievances.

Further, the DC directed officers to remain punctual on their duties. He said that any dereliction in this regard shall be viewed seriously and asked for furnishing attendance of all the line departments on daily basis. He also directed all the officers to take cognizance of the public complaints and to streamline the process market checking, monitoring of essential services in the district and grievance redresal mechanism in a time bound manner.
