Srinagar, Mar 6, : Bhartiya Janata Party leader and former Assembly Speaker of Jammu Kashmir Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta who is known for his controversial statements Tuesday courted another controversy when he claimed that ‘Madrassas’ in Kashmir Valley are the source of militancy.

Gupta said that ‘Madrassas’ are the places where militants are born, a statement that was criticized by former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullha who termed Gupta a bigot and ill-informed.
