BUDGAM, MARCH 20: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Budgam in collaboration with the Forest Department Budgam organized a plantation drive, here today.
The drive was inaugurated by Chairman District Legal Services Authority Budgam, Raja Shujat Ali Khan in presence of Secretary District Legal Services Authority Budgam, Tabassum Qadir and all judicial officers of district comprising sub judge D.P. Bhagat, Munsif Magam, Aadil Mushtaq Banday, Munsif Chadoora, Sheikh Gowhar Hussain, Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Beerwah, Imran Haneef along with CEO Budgam, Fatima, Tehsildar Budgam, Nuzhat.
The drive luanched by planting Conifer saplings in the District Court Complex Budgam. The Forest Department provided 500 Conifer saplings for purpose of planting them in all court complexes of the district and at all legal Aid Clinics/ village legal care and support centers of the district. The Conifer saplings were distributed among the para-legal volunteers of the district for planting these in their respective areas. The programme was attended by all the staff members of the district court Budgam in presence of the all bar members.
It was informed that DLSA Budgam in collaboration with social forestry department shall be organizing more such drives, planting herbal and medical plants for increasing green cover of the district and prevention of the soil erosion. On the occasion special bags carrying messages for the environment and services given by legal services authority were also distributed.
