Will work for betterment of sports infrastructure, sports personalities once in power: Sagar

Srinagar, April 29 : Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar on Monday asserted that besides physical exercise sports also works wonders to the brain and overhall personality of children, saying that sports are also a decisive instrument in bringing about greater social choesion.

Party General Secretary while adressing the felicitatory function of district championship ship of Tong IL Moo Do at Hatrick Public School, Zakura said that sports play a crucial role in the overhall development of a child. “The enhancement of physical and mental development of children is certainly the most important contribution of sports, but the list of values your child may learn and acquire through sports does not end here. Other positive aspects are numerous, which reveals the true beauty of any sport,” he said adding, “Parents should allow their children to take part in all sorts of sports. Besides numerous physical benefits, it also helps a child to give vent to his or her pent up feelings.  I apreciate the efforts of Tong IL Mo Do association for their endeavours, I also applaud the efforts of the administration of Hatrick Public School and other concerned agencies for giving me an oppurtunity to witness the sport. I wish all the best to the participants in their future endeavours,” he said.

Party general secretary who was the chief guest on the occasion said that National Conference led governments have always given first preference towards augumentation of infrastructure in sports sector. “Once in power we will again invest in the supports sector with a renewed determination and resolve. We as a party deem sports sector as pivotal as any other vital sector of our state. In the future also, we will formulate schemes and programes for the betterment of sports infrastructure, and sports personalities,” he said.

Among others Chairman Tong IL Mo Do Association Nazir Ahmad Makdoomi, general secretary noted journalist Abdul Rasheed Rahil were present on the occasion. (GNS)
