Don’t look Bandipora incident through Shia-Sunni prism: Imran Ansari

Srinagar, May 13 : Peoples Conference (PC) General Secretary and a top Shia cleric Molvi Imran Ansari on Monday condemned the rape of a minor girl in Sumbal area of Bandipora district, terming it as ‘inhumane act’.

Molvi Imran Ansari as per a statement said that some people are looking Bandipora rape case through the prism of Shia-Sunni, which is condemnable. “The fact is that the incident is an inhumane and barbaric act which should be condemned by one and all,” he said.

Imran also appealed people to maintain calm, saying that people must forge unity to raise voice against the rapists so that justice will be delivered to the victim.

He also called on Governor Satya Pal Malik and demanded a time bound enquiry and stringent action against the involved person.
