Three members of a family among four injured as lightning struck in North Kashmir

 

Srinagar, June 12 : Four persons including two brothers and their mother were injured after a lightning struck at Naidkhai area of Sumbal in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday.

Reports reaching said that the lightning struck at Naidkhai this afternoon when a group of people were busy in planting paddy saplings in Naidkhai.

In the incident, four persons suffered injuries and were taken to nearby hospital where from they have been referred to JVC hospital Bemina Srinagar for specialized treatment.

A police officer also confirmed the incident and identified the injured as Irfan Rashid Wani, Javid Rashid Wani (both brothers) and their mother Masarat Begum wife of Abdul Rashid Wani and Tahir Begum wife of Muzafar Wani of Poshwari, Naidkhai. (GNS)
