Srinagar June 22: Governor Satya Pal Malik Saturday said that it was encouraging that Hurriyat leaders were ready for talks.
“Hurriyat leaders who once shut doors to Ram Vilas Paswan when approached for dialogue are now ready for talks. This is an encouraging sign,” Governor said at a function.
He also hailed Hurriyat Conference leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq for speaking on drug menace.
He said Hurriyat proactive role in addressing social issues must be welcomed.
