Crime Branch solves the murder case of a Girl in Baramulla

Srinagar, July 30, : Jammu and Kashmir Police has claimed to have arrested a person, in connection of the murder of his daughter in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The police said that the murder of the girl by her father took place following a disagreement over her marriage proposal.

According to the police statement, one person namely Javed Ahmed Khan son of Rehmatullah Khan, Resident of Lardipora has been arrested for killing his daughter and then dumping her body in the forest area of Kawharbala.
“During the investigation by the sleuths of Crime Branch, learnt that Javed Khan had taken his daughter inside the forest area, where he murdered her following an argument about fixing her marriage, which led to disagreement, between the two”, he said.

The accused has been taken into custody after being arrested by the police, while the body of the murdered girl was handed over to the family after completing medico-legal formalities.
According to police, experts from FSL also visited the site of the crime to gather vital pieces of physical and material evidence related to the crime.

Police has registered a case in the matte in Police Station Chandoosa under FIR no: 23/2019, under the relevant sections of law and further investigation has been taken up.
