Season’s first snowfall in Kashmir disrupts road, air traffic

Kashmir valley received its first snowfall of the season on Thursday causing disturbances in road and air connectivity.

This is second time since 2009 that Srinagar city witnessed snowfall in November.

Reports said as higher reaches including tourist destination Gulmarg have been expriencing snow since Tuesday evening and by Wednesday night the entire valley covered in white blanket of snow resulting in disruption of air traffic.

It is pertinent to mention here that the change in weather normally brings cheers to the faces of the people associated with tourism but they have their fingers crossed in view of the prevailing situation in the valley in the wake of abrogation of Article 370.
