Director FCS&CA reviews stock position of essential commodities

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 7: The Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Khan today reviewed stock and supply position of food grains, K-oil and other essentials in the Valley.

He was informed that sufficient stock of food grains and other essential commodities have already been stocked in remote areas.

          The meeting was further informed that presently 64201 MT’s of rice and 3973 MTs of Wheat and Atta are available in various FCI and Departmental Godowns. Besides 4359 Litres of K-Oil and about 3.30 Lac LPG Cylinders are presently in stock with various valley based oil companies.

          The Director impressed upon the officers to ensure timely supply of essentials to the consumers. He instructed the concerned to conduct regular market checks to keep vigil on the market prices.

          The meeting was also attended by the Joint Director FCS&CA Kashmir and Deputy Director Supplies Kashmir.
