Flights at Srinagar airport hit for 3rd consecutive day

Flight operations were hit on the third consecutive day at Srinagar airport due to dense fog, officials said.

As many as 31 flights that operate between Srinagar-Jammu and Srinagar-Delhi on a daily basis were cancelled in last two days.

“All morning flights from and to the airport have been cancelled as the landing of flights cannot take place amidst fog,” officials at the airport said.
The airport runway is enveloped with a blanket of fog which has lowered the visibility levels. The operations will be resumed once the weather gets better, Kashmir Life reported.

The cancellation of flight operations has affected the travel plans of thousands of passengers.
