Hibz militant arrested in Kupwara

Kupwara : A Hibz militant was apprehended by a joint team of forces in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday.

Official sources told Kashmir Indepth that during search operation a militant was apprehended along with arms and ammunition at Bumhama village of Kupwara district.

Sources identified him as Fayaz Ahmed Mir son of Sonawallah Mir and said he was affiliated with Hibz militant outfit group.

Sources further said that one Ak 47 and other arms and ammunition were recovered from him.

SSP Kupwara Shriram Ambirkar also confirmed this development to Kashmir Indepth and said that more details will be shared shortly in a press conference.
