Contractors demand release of pending bills in Handwara

 
Srinagar, Feb 06  Contractors of Mawar Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on today alleged that funds for the repairment work of 22 school bathrooms in Mawer Block done during Panchayat Election 2018 has not been released yet by the authorities.

A group of locals told KNS over phone that they have borrowed the money for the maintenance of these bathrooms but despite passing two years, the money has not been released.

They said they are visiting the office of  concerned officials but they are only getting the assurance form them nothing else.

They said the order was issued by the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara that after completion of the work the money will be released but sofar they have not released the money .

They have appealed the authorities to release payments of the work at the earliest (KNS).
