Police Housing Corporation to execute dev works through e-tendering

JAMMU, MARCH 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Police Housing Corporation has initiated the process of e-tendering and shall be executing all the development works assigned to the Corporation through the e-tendering process.
The step has been taken in compliance with the Finance Department directions that civil works of the Corporations/ Autonomous Bodies including J&K Police Housing Corporation have to be executed through transparent bidding process.

Accordingly, the Police Housing Corporation too undertook a detailed exercise and has switched over to e-tendering with regard to all the works including ongoing projects worth Rs. 372.00 crore.

Savings of the order of 30% have been witnessed in some of the works that have been e-tendered by PHC, which indicate the likelihood of huge savings to the indenting Departments/Government exchequer, thus allowing more development works to be undertaken within the same resources.
