Dy Mayor visits Miskeen Bagh, distributed supplementary nutrition among Anganwadi centres

SRINAGAR, APRIL 9: Deputy Mayor, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Parvaiz Ahmed Qadri visited Miskeen Bagh and distributed supplementary nutrition among the Anganwadi centres, here today.

He was accompanied by District Program Officer, Integrated Child Development Service (ICDS), Srinagar, Zeenat Ara, Corporator of Ward 45, Dawlat Abad, Zubair Fayaz Dar and other concerned.

On the occasion, the supplementary nutrition was distributed among the beneficiaries including nursing mothers, pregnant ladies and children registered with Miskeen Bagh-A Anganwadi centre. The food items distributed includes eggs, oil, pulses, spices and other items.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Mayor said that in view of the COVID-19 lockdown, the efforts are being made to supply food items at the door step of Anganwadi centers and the drive will continue till all the centers are covered.

District Program Officer, Zeenat Ara, informed that under Khanyar Project, 279 Anganwadi centres are registered and the supplementary nutrition has been distributed among 170 centers comprising of 3400 beneficiaries, so far.
