Jammu, Apr 14 : A day after the attack on a police patrolling party took place, the Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched by security forces in upper areas of Kishtwar on Monday.
Official sources told that senior officers of both Army and police including Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) are in the area and supervising the combing operation.
“Entire area of Tender in Dachan is under Cordon since Monday evening,” they said.
Talking to media persons, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) DKR range, Abdul Jabbar said that joint operation of Army and police is going on in the area.
He, however, didn’t divulge any further details. Meanwhile, a wreath laying ceremony was held at District Police Lines Kishtwar on Tuesday morning.
