Srinagar, Oct 14 (KINS): Dr Basharat Qayoom, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation and CEO Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL), reviewed ongoing projects and stressed accountability, timely execution and proper maintenance of completed infrastructure.
During a meeting with SSCL officers, he reviewed project progress, departmental functioning and operational priorities, emphasising coordination, quality standards and adherence to deadlines.
Dr Qayoom directed officers to regularly monitor projects, resolve bottlenecks and ensure the efficient use of resources. He also stressed regular inspections, timely repairs and preventive maintenance of completed infrastructure to ensure its long-term functionality and public accessibility.
He called for a result-oriented approach and better coordination among departments to ensure that Smart City projects deliver tangible improvements in civic infrastructure and urban services.
The meeting was attended by senior SSCL officers, including the Additional CEO, Chief Engineer and other departmental heads.(KINS)
