Srinagar, April 26 (KINS): Union Minister of State (MoS) in the Prime Minister Modi’s office, Dr Jitendra Singh has been a silent warrior fighting Covid-19 battle from New Delhi, besides overseeing every single minutest issue related to Jammu and Kashmir, the place he belongs to.

According to news agency KINS, from taking frequent reviews on the measures to be taken or in place to fight the pandemic and addressing the concerns of parents whose children are stuck in various parts of India and providing essential kits to the poor, Dr Jitender Singh does it all.

He even praises the officers in J&K for their good work. A cursory look at some tweets posted by Dr Jitender sums it all as to how he is concerned about his home state, especially the Covid-19 measures.

“A reassuring piece of information for anxious parents in #JammuAndAkashmir. 376 J&K students in #Kota set to return tomorrow. All arrangements finalised. The

@narendramodi government stands committed to the well-being of these youngsters,” reads one of the tweets of Dr Jitender, clarifying that he has been monitoring the return of stranded students of J&K too besides taking the stock of the measures taken by the Union Territory (UT) government in J&K.

To raise the morale of the officers doing good work on good in J&K, the MoS in Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) tweeted praises for Deputy Commissioner Pulwama.

“Carry on the good work @dcpulwama.. Hope this practice, which is also aimed at sending out a deterrent signal, will be emulated by other Collectors as well in the UT,” Dr Jitender wrote.

The MoS also reviews the measures with the officers and even with the former senior bureaucrats through video conferencing to get feed-back on innovative measures to be taken for fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and to prevent it from spreading.

“Discussed #COVID combat measures with former senior bureaucrats from across the country through video conference. Briefed them about steps taken by the Modi Government to contain the pandemic and also sought their inputs and suggestions in this regard,” reads one of his tweets.

Dr Jitendera also praised police for reaching out to the needy. This tweet of him clears the picture:

“Serving both in war and in peace, BSF personnel under IGP Sh NS Jamwal reaching out to the needy, during #Lockdown period, along the International Border in Kathua – Jammu sector. #JammuAndKashmir.”

A day before Jitendra Singh discussed COVID combat measures with former bureaucrats from across the country through video conference, in a bid to brief them about the efforts being made by the Modi Government to contain the COVID pandemic and also to obtain their inputs and suggestions in this regard.(KINS)
