DAK releases revised edition of JKPSC quick review book

Srinagar, May 03 (KINS): Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Sunday launched the 2nd revised edition of JKPSC quick review for the NEET PG and PSC aspiring doctors.

The book is authored by DAK President, Dr Suhail Naik who is also consultant paediatrician, Dr Azmat Gowhar Khan CMO GMC Baramulla, Dr Muhammad Salem, senior resident department of Social and Preventive Medicine (SPM) GMC Srinagar and Dr Cimona Lyn Sakdanha infertility specialist and gynecologist SKIMS Srinagar.

In a statement issued to news agency KINS, DAK said that the contribution of Dr Naik is immense in the subject of pediatrics and he has explained his subject precisely.

“The book covers broad spectrum of subjects laying emphasis to explain each and every question in precise manner. I acknowledged my gratitude to all my colleagues who supported and encouraged me to write the book,” he said.

Dr Naik said that medicos from Jammu and Kashmir can crack any postgraduate eligibility test after reading the new book.

The book covers entire question papers from 2007 to 2018 of JKPSC. The explanations to these questions have been provided in a lucid and comprehensive manner, that by reading this edition one gets prepared for other  postgraduate examinations like NEET, AIIMS, PGI, JIPMER and DNB examinations as well.

Dr Masood Rashid Critical Care Specialist while congratulating authors for their hard work and dedication said that inclusion of high yielding facts in the form of NEET EDGE has added a new dimension to this book.

The explanation and NEET EDGE have been updated based on the latest guidelines and updates. In addition, recent NEET pattern 2020 questions have also been included.

For this edition authors, senior faculty members from prestigious Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr Muzzafer Wani contributed in nephrology part besides reviewing other questions as well.

Dr Azmmat Gowher Khan said the feedback they received from first edition motivated them to come up with this elaborated edition.

“I am sure that this book will live up to its expectations and help students in their exams,” he said.

The forward of the book has been written by Medical Superintendent SKIMS Soura Dr Farooq Jan. After reviewing the book Dr Jan congratulated the authors for their hard work and dedication for making this publication a success.

Senior Executive Member DAK, Dr Mir Mushtaq congratulated Dr Suhail Naik for his immense contribution to society as doctor, researcher, author and leader.

The book is available on Amazon and other online shopping sites.

DAK said that they couldn’t hold a book release function due to lockdown in view of COVID-19 pandemic and to avoid any kind of social gathering.

The doctor’s body, researchers, writers have praised the doctors/authors for such an inspiring work for the aspiring doctors and medical students in J&K. (KINS)
